Hello friends, long time no blog. Yesterday we did a thing of going to Car Free Day on the Drive, mostly just to check it out and also to force the dog to hang out with a crowd. I know, it seems kinda cruel, but I like to push her outside her comfort zone sometimes so hopefully she’ll learn to be less fearful.
It was an ok time. There were many food trucks and things to buy, but I am trying to be somewhat careful with dollars so we didn’t get anything.
I suuuuper wanted to get one of these little coin purses but they were leather and I had a Vegan Tams Moral Crisis. I figured taking a photo was just as good, and also free! They were only $12 though so it was an ok deal.
I also saw this lady with the most majestic hair ever and had to creep her. So good! I hope I get majestic grey hair one day. I have a few but I am working on it.
After we finished traumatizing the dog (this is her face of omg can we go home?), we brought her home and she crashed on the couch for a bit.
I tried to get a photo of her sad tired face but she would not cooperate.
Then we made a quick trip to Gastown to pick up some tea. Val gave me $20 deal dollars to spend on tea at Apres Midi for Christmas, and it expired yesterday, so I had to go.
We didn’t really stay long, but it seemed like a pretty cool place. I will maybe go back there, despite the fact that I am not really that gung ho about Gastown. See, the thing about Gastown is, I feel like it is sort of a tourist trap and also full of trendy bs foodie places, and since I am vegan I am not super that interested in places I can go to get boar bacon toasted with fennel and truffle oil or whatevs. I think my people are mostly in New West, not Gastown (k the last one is actually Burnaby but whatever they are the same thing to me).
Anyhoo, we got two kinds of tea: Earl Grey with Lavender (for me, obviously, because I have both an Earl Grey and a lavender problem), and Bloody Orange for Maine, which is a rooibos tea and rooibos does not really interest me.
