I haven’t even watched this one recently and I had another one scheduled to go up but Maine and I were talking this morning about this movie and I decided it would be appropriate to post it today.
This movie has Edward Cullen being a different guy a little bit. There’s some back story about the girl and how one time her mom died on the platform waiting for a train with her. Some dudes shoot her or stab her I can’t remember. So the dad of the girl becomes really over-protective and also he is a cop and a little bit unhinged.

Edward Cullen is sad because his dad is kinda rude and also used to be James Bond. Maybe that is why he is rude, it is probably hard to go from being James Bond to being like important business guy with a family you only sort of like.
Edward lives with his crappy roommate and one time they go out in the night to get their booze on, and a fight breaks out in the street and for some reason Edward decides to get involved (probably because he’s sad. Sad people sometimes do reckless things.) Actually I have a feeling a girl was involved and he was trying to protect her? No idea.

The cops come and are going to let Edward and his roommate go but then Edward sasses them for some reason and the unhinged cop beats him up.
They go home and life goes on but then one day the roommate sees the unhinged cop with a girl and realizes it is his daughter, and he naturally comes up with some plan to piss off this cop via trying to date his daughter. So he sends Edward Cullen in. And wouldn’t you know it, they fall in love.

Some other things happen like the cop finding out and being a creep about it and I think he might also hit the daughter at one point, because a really good way to get people to listen to you is to hit them. Also there is a sister and I was just thinking about why she was important other than the dad is distant to her and this makes Edward Cullen mad, and then I remembered the whole reason the family is sad is because Edward had an older brother that killed himself and instead of dealing with it everyone just got weird and distant.

However the most important part of this movie is like one minute things are happening and then the next they’re panning out on a shot of Edward Cullen waiting for his dad in his office building and then you hear the zoom of the plane and you know what happens next. I think this movie is trying to teach you about living life and being nice to each other because you never know when the terrorists are going to win. Or other terrible things might happen, like getting knifed while waiting for the train.
I remember feeling a bit ripped off by the ending at first but the message is true: we don’t know what will happen. So you should probably go to your daughter’s art show and be less of a jerk, James Bond.
