I will for sure get around to posting the pictures and a written account of our epic two day journey that felt more like 30 later on today. But first, I need to adventure to the store to get a couple more ingredients for borscht. (p.s. I am so sorry about the eHarmony ad at the beginning of that video. For the record, I friggen hate eHarmony. One time I took that test for lols and they told me I was unmatchable. LIES.)
Maine has been bugging me to upload our grocery list for a while, so I figured what better time to do it than when I am supposed to be packing for a camping trip? I’m headed to Gibsons tonight with some textile art ladies for the fibre festival thing tomorrow. Then Sunday we are doing Whistler.
I think I am supposed to be ready in like 5 hours so really there is plenty of time for procrastination still. I am pretty sure I am going to bring too much stuff. I always do. Ooops.
Anyway, I also made some notes for Maine. Just little reminders while I’m gone. So I will share those also.
So last night Val and I went to see Piranha 3D courtesy of the fine folks at VancouverIsAwesome.com. I won a pair of tickets for the midnight show at the Rio, and Val is the only one of my friends who is dedicated enough to ridiculousness that she will work sleep deprived for it.
Um basically it was hilarious. I am glad to see someone is using 3D technology as it was intended: for sweet 3D boob action. I was a bit worried going in that it was going to be the terrible variety of terrible movie but it turned out to be the hilariously awesome kind of terrible movie. Plus the Rio had a little song and dance and then burlesque dancers before the show. As Val said, “pre-movie strippers really is what is missing from the standard movie going experience.”
This movie is kind of like Snakes on a Plane, where it is probably more fun if you watch it with a big crowd of people, but I’ll say I liked this a whole lot more than Snakes on a Plane. Yeah, it is campy as hell but I feel like it was not trying too hard. Just the right amount.
