Once upon a time when I was younger, Macaulay Culkin was not just some kid who used to hang out with Michael Jackson, and he was in popular movies, and he was in this one movie where he was so evil and then there was another guy who was not evil. This post is about the not evil guy, better known as Elijah Wood.
So in that movie, which I think I was going to see in the theatre but then I saw Jurassic Park instead, the kid is totally evil and at the end (don’t read this if you don’t want to know what happens but seriously this movie is like 15 years old and if you haven’t seen it now, let’s be honest, you never will) the mom has to decide which kid to save because for some reason they are both dangling off the side of a cliff, and she totally chooses the one who is not her kid, and I think that would be pretty tough to do.
Pretty powerful stuff, non?
Then another time there was this other movie with Bruce Willis and I really only like him in 12 Monkeys and I think that I only like that movie because Brad Pitt is insane in it, um yeah, ok so yeah Sin City, does anyone even remember that movie? I think I have slept through it like 5 times. And I only remember two parts:
1.
and
2.
And then! I watched another movie, and one time I read the book of it but really it was more like two books and it took me forever and I will be honest I don’t even know what happened still, but yeah I watched the movie because it had Eugene Hutz in it, and I feel like this entry is supposed to be about Elijah Wood but I am failing pretty hard at that.
Ok here is the thing: I kinda think he should be in more movies, because I like him but I am also a little bit creeped out by him, and I feel that is about as good a reason as any for a person to be in the movies.
You probably feel uncomfortable right now, right? You probably want more, though, too. Admit it. (It’s been a long day, please forgive me.)
On the way home I saw an ice cream truck and it made me think of Borat and I told Rebecca to watch it but I don’t know if it is a movie recommendation I should really stand behind.

Pretty much Elijah Wood creeps me the fuck out. Seriously. (Also, the whole time I was watching that video of his dance, all I could think about was how terrifying that would be on drugs, and also, why does he have that terrible rapist facial hair when he is on a show for children???)
I will forgive you for this horrifying start to my morning though, due to the inclusion of ice cream bear. (I watched it 3 times. I feel that, and the part where the guy tells him his wife is dead are a pretty good reason to recommend this movie to people, so long as you warn them that there are a log of parts that they might not like.)
(I like parentheses.)

I also really love the Jew egg part. I feel that because I am mostly Jewish except not even a little, and because Sacha Baron Cohen is all Jew, it is ok for me to laugh at it.

Wow,
I am just so creeped out right now. I don’t think that I can go to bed. I don’t want Elijah dancing around in my dreams tonight, Tams. Not tonight.
What side are you Jewish on? Didn’t you mention something about Russian too?

My spermal donation side is Jewish (seriously their last name is Silverman, right) and the Russian thing I am not 100% sure on but it was something that came up when I was researching our maternal side. But let’s be honest, we’re just made of some sort of mix of Europe, I’m sure. Also I’m sorry about Elijah
