A thing is going to happen next week where I have to present the project I did for my design class. It is based on the story of Bluebeard. I am planning on playing another more different song by Man Man when I present it because every time I worked on it, I got Engwish Bwudd in my head. I think it is appropriate. But I did not link you to that video because it does not exist in an official way. But you can Youtubes it if you want.

Yesterday a thing happened where we went to Sean’s house to watch hockey and on the way home we went downtown instead of going to Commercial because it was raining and I felt wussy. We saw this thing on the wall at the train and spent some time going “Is it art? I don’t know. I think it’s art?”

That is kind of the story of the last 8 months of my life.

Some things in life have happened in the last few days that are making me question whether I should go back to school in the fall. I want to make it clear that I love school and if I had unlimited dollars, I would go, but as it stands we have very, very limited dollars. I wish it was not all about the dollars but it kind of is.

I don’t know yet.

Here is the thing I’ve been working on for my final project in weaving. It is a shadow weave. It was going to be a rauna but then I fail at warping up and made it too small so now it’s going to just be a shawl but I probably will felt it.

I went up to school today to work on it and managed to get it done pretty quickly once I switched to boat shuttles.

Sol was making weird faces right before I took this picture. She is weaving a thing out of copper wire because she is a crazy person.

I loomed to Tom Waits today. It was pretty ok.

Oh and another thing. We went to the Giants game on Thursday and basically I don’t know what it is, but in the hockey world it is still the 90′s. They still play stuff like this:

And it is amazing.

I selected a variety as my phrase cause I could not think of a word that was appropriate. I should be studying for my art history exam but instead I’m checking out my google reader and it looks like a lil meme thing is going around so really I mean I can’t not do it right?! Not at a time like this!

So, here are my Ten Favourite Things

I was looking for videos on why Los Angeles sucks, and trust me there were a lot (mostly talking about traffic but whatever). I decided to look for Vancouver sucks and found this. Man, not gonna lie, this is pretty much how I feel. DO NOT MOVE HERE! haha IT BELONGS TO MEEEEEEE

Anyways, why am I talking about LA anyways? Well, friends, tonight is game three in what is basically Christmas to me. Just getting ready to watch right now :)

This is how we roll.

wtf

Ok so yesterday I went up to school to work on my looming and basically got SO CONFUSED by this that I got the yarn through the reed and called it a day. This whole process took 5 hours though. Most of it spent with me going “BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND”.

I decided to go home via the SeaBus so I got Maine to meet me at the Lonsdale quay for lunch.

Sorry. We ate it. It was delicious. Well, mine was, his was not. I had halibut nuggets. He had a less than impressive burger.

Here he is channeling his best Uncle Rico.

On our way home we took the 22, which was probably the worst idea ever except then we went to Casa Gelato.

I totally love this run down building and it is one million per cent for sale but it is falling apart and probably costs all the dollars.

We walked home from there through the neighbourhood and quickly realized that we are from the wrong side of the tracks. I dunno why it took so long (it is not like we haven’t walked that way before, either).

I found this pod of mushrooms and got probably more excited than what is normal.

100_4584

Even if we had not seen them I think we would have noticed them just by their smell.

100_4585

Then this morning when Maine woke up I convinced him to come with me to the library.

While wandering the main floor I discovered that they have Wii and Xbox games. So sweet! Except that had nothing I really wanted to play and also I did not want to talk to anyone (you had to get the games from the desk…). But I did get some sweet Sagan dvds so I feel pretty ok about it.

Pretty excited, guys!
