The rumors are true. Spring is springing a lot earlier than it should. Welcome to Vancouver, home of the 2010 Spring Olympics, brought to you by Global Warming or El NiƱo or something.
So you know how people do a thing where you show what is in your purse? Today I am going to do a thing where I show you what I just hauled around in my backpack, because it was like one million pounds of omg.
I had to go pick up more art supplies and also some groceries and somehow managed to fit most of it into my backpack. I should mention this backpack is meant for mountaineering, so it fits quite a bit, and I do not really know where it came from but finders keepers ok?
I decided to weigh it using the Wii Fit to see how heavy it actually was. Also Val has not used this in 600 days so it kind of scolded me/her.
Proof that robots are not the best when it comes to losing weight in a healthy way.
Ok, on to the stuff!
I don’t know why I labeled all this all, as I am sure you can figure it out but here you go anyways.
1. black beans 2. green leaf lettuce 3. cilantro 4. butter 5. tiny mandarin oranges 6. baby carrots 7. pear yogurt 8. 1% milk 9. bananas 10. cantaloupe 11. red pepper 12. cucumber 13. tomatoes 14. gala apples 15. corn 16. mixed beans
17. fake fur for weaving (I have to weave a thing that represents a polar bear) 18. sketch book (on sale!) 19. embroidery hoops 20. embroidery floss 21. sock yarn ($2 each!) 22. embroidery floss organized that i am planning to use as my sample book for when we dye wool. it was 99 cents!) 23. bulldog clips 24. measuring tape (not pictured – kraft paper for drawing)
25. Lady Grey tea from Steeps 26. Creative Zen Vision:M that I bought in like 2004 I think? and it is still motoring away 27. Moroccan Mint green tea from Teaz 28. GREEN TEAM Sigg 29. charger for the Zen 30. Fleece Artist mohair gifted from Rebecca 31. Quebecoise yarn lifted from the school for weaving 32. masking tape (also there are random yarns/threads from weaving)
The funny thing is at the grocery store I tetris’d all my stuff in to avoid getting a plastic bag, and then the girl behind me in line had her things double bagged.
Oh also I went to Ikea the other day and picked up a desk, but I saw this and I died a little inside because I cannot have it, even at half off.
This really does not capture the majestic yellow as well as it should.
This hat is basically amazing but is child (aka Steph) sized.
Sad times for me (and good times for Maine) that this only came in twin size.
We had delicious meatballs for lunch, and also TUBORG. Is it weird that I only like Ikea gravy? I am not really interested in gravy in general. Perhaps it is the addition of lingonberry that really seals the deal.
So I bought the Expedit desk in white to go with my shelf. I asked Jeff if he thought it would fit in the trunk and he said yes, but then it actually did not so a thing had to happen with ties and stuff to get it home. But it’s here now, although I haven’t set it up yet (probably will do that on the weekend as I have to clean up a bit first and well it’s already 5 pm and I should go wake up Tremaine now ok bye.)

it’s all about the lingonberry. they totally need to make lingonberry gravy available at all supermarkets tomorrow. or we could all invent a canned version of it and man it would be awesome. and we’d be googlazillionaires

i wonder if you just mixed in some jam or cranberry sauce with regular gravy if it would have the same effect?

Last time I was at Ikea I also saw that crazy yellow cabinet thing and wanted it badly. Its design is just the right kind of insane. It is quite expensive, though maybe I’ll be able to convince myself it’s worth it in a few months.

it was half price at the coquitlam ikea! i am not sure if it will be half price everywhere, but i can’t imagine there are a lot of people rushing out to buy an obnoxious yellow sideboard thingy.

And wake me up you did!

That sideboard thingy is amazing! I am also sad that you can’t get it
My roomies have been flaunting ikea stuff like that at me daily in apprehension for the house they bought and that we’re moving to in April.

Also, that is a heck of a lot of things to be carrying around in your backpack.
