This is my new bunny. She is nine weeks old, and is a monstrous ball of fluff. She is an immaculate conception bunny – the lady I bought her from said they had a boy bunny and a girl bunny in cages that were separated with a board, but the board had a few small holes in it and voila.
She is not super impressed with photos, or anything yet, really. I brought her home about an hour ago. And as you can tell probably, she does not yet have a name. Suggestions?
I am leaning towards Nova, but Maine likes Lumi better. What about Zephyr? But I was going to name a baby that one day so I don’t know. I don’t want to use it up on the rabbit, what if I have babies one day?
edit – I should probably tell you guys that upon closer inspection, I am pretty sure this bunny is a gentleman. Ladies do not normally have testicles, eh? I was told it was a lady, but when I got Bertram they also told me he was a lady and he clearly is not. I should not trust people to inspect junk properly.
So the other day we went to the dollar store, which is actually the dollar and 25 cents and also tax store, because I wanted to get some cheap plates to use to mix stuff for block printing. Anyways, we were wandering the aisles and found these two ridiculous things and had to buy them.

At first I was like “I don’t know what the crap you could survive with this”, but then I remembered the story a friend told me once about rock climbing near Lillooet and a thing happened where he could not really get down and I don’t think anyone knew where he was and all he had was string and a stick and somehow managed to avoid much danger and peril. He probably could have also used this.

You know, I think this one speaks for itself.
We are burning some right now, sort of a… If you burn it, money will come, thing.
We finally used the crock pot tonight.

Only bought it like a month ago.

This is what we call lady chili in these parts. Mostly because Maine kept being all “WTF why are there so many vegetables?!” I had to explain that it was not the man chili he is used to. (I am so glad to see my Women Studies degree is coming in handy.)

After about an hour I checked it and it was barely warm even though we had it set on “high”. I called my mom and complained, and she was all “Tamara, they are called slow cookers for a reason. You should have put it on like 4 hours ago.”
Duuuh. We stuck it out and had dinner a couple hours late. Lesson learned. While I was waiting for it to cook, I carved a block to use for my project. It is going to be called “City folk” and it is like old timey folk prints except with modern things inspired by my neighbourhood, like construction cranes and people yelling in the park. Good times, good times.
Not much to say other than check it out I ruined the Mona Lisa today!

We did counterchange this morning in Design, and then we had to do a thing with the Mona Lisa where we cut out her shape and uh rearranged it pretty much. And you could not waste any parts of it.
Also here is my mitten that I made for my Weaving class last week.

P.S. My gentleman caller plays too much Fallout 3.
