maine and meeeee

So on Wednesday Maine and I were bored, so we decided to take the new train for fun. I convinced him we should go to Aberdeen Centre so I could go to the Daiso. For those of you who are not familiar, all you really need to know is that it is a giant Japanese dollar-type store. Most things are $2 but some of the bigger things are a bit more. The most expensive thing I saw was a giant bowl for $9. In other words, it is dangerous.

We wandered around a bit and checked out the other stores before going in. I forgot to bring a camera, so you’ll have to do with Maine’s cell phone pictures.

i want so bad

I want. So bad. Why does Blythe have to be so expensive? :(

cuuuuuuuute

We went into David and Goliath and for the first time in a long time I was super sad about not being tiny.

best idea ever?

This store had a no photography policy. Jokes on them, we just went outside to take a picture. Basically brilliant concept though. They rent out little glass cubes for anything from $30 to $85 a month, and the people who rent them put things in to sell. No commission. If I ever get around to actually making things to sell, it might not be a bad idea to drop some things off. Unfortunately their website does not appear to be working at the moment.

We also picked up some little things at Gacha. Maine was disappointed because he got one of the “special” toys. I can see how these would get very addictive. So much cuuuuuute!

why were there no strawberries?

After a while we decided it was time for lunch, so we headed up to the food court. It was sort of terrifying with all of the random choices. We settled on Strawberry Cones pizza, which was both familiar and weird at the same time. (Side note: why do they not sell anything involving strawberries there?)

TUNA AND PIZZA TOGETHER AT LAST

Maine had two slices of the teriyaki chicken and mochi pizza, while I had one slice of that and one slice of the tuna and potato pizza. They also gave us a little packet of sea weed to sprinkle on the pizza. God bless the Japanese.

i don't get it either

For desert we had cream puffs from Beard Papa’s. These are a little more familiar to me, but I am still surprised when I bite into one and it is not whipped cream. It’s kind of more like Boston cream?

i always expect whipped cream

Afterwards, we were ready to take on the Daiso. We managed to spend only about $50 and came home with plenty of crap. Here is some of it.

:D x 2

The owl I picked up for Val.

^_^

Because I don’t have enough mugs as it is. Sigh.

$2

Picked up two of these.

$3.50

And two of these. I don’t care if our things match. Clearly.

nearly obsolete calender

This calendar is basically useless to me now but it was too cute to pass up.

noms

The Pocky is long gone now, as evidenced by the open box. So. Good.

mystery goo

I am not sure what is healthy about chunks suspended in mystery goo?

juice

The pineapple is mine, the orange was Maine’s. When he drank it he said it was like someone smooshed an orange and shoved it in the can.

cuuuuute socks

Cuuuute socks. I hope they fit my panda feet.

sticker book

Again, purchased only for the cute.

stickers

It is full of stickers!

That is pretty much it. There were a couple other food items that I didn’t take pictures of.

P.S. Bert loves Rasci.

Wow, thank you! That is awesome :) Now I feel like I should have put more effort into this post, haha! But seriously, I can see myself spending a lot more time out there spending all my dollars at the Daiso thanks to the Canada Line!
